Becky Butler (Stoops)

I became friends with Bob's wife Karen when she and I worked together at Toefco Engineering here in Niles. At that time there was quite a group of us that would get together at Bob and Karens out on Detroit Rd for parties. We even banded together and went up North for a weekend canoeing trip that was a great time. Karen left Toefco before I did but we still kept in contact. Then once I left in about "96" we all drifted apart. It wasn't until I read on this site that Bob had passed that I even knew about it. It came as quite a shock.
In retrospect it's good to know that I had the chance to get to know Bob and the person he became after high school. We didn't know each other as friends back then and had talked about it. Time changes everything.
I went to the South Bend Tribune archives and found Bob's obituary and have decided to post it so that others who had no clue what happened to Bob can now know.
