Good ole' Mr. Moore. He taught a senior logic class and I remembered that I had to get special clearance to take a senior class as a sophomore. Now my REAL motivation was to check out the HOTT guys! The very first day we sat in a huge circle and he called attendance. Each name he tried to relate to a sibling or parent, grandma, or grandpa. I thought that I was clear b/c my older sisters graduated from Buchanan. He said, Frame, huh, are you Jim & Helen's daughter that used to live on Mead Rd. in Buchanan? I said, yyeess, why? Clarence then said, "Well, honey, the last tme I saw you, you were about two months old and you were laying naked on the livingroom floor with your blankie!" It was a wonderful first impression. He was our insurance agent at the time and he sold my mom & dad a policy shortly after I was born. I remember being introduced to deductive and inductive reasoning and mostly a blur after that. I became friends with Ben Diekema(sp) Martha Patterson, Kathy Tibbs, Jeff Knoll and I think Eric Teshka (sp) I was probably the first and definitely last 10th grader that they allowed in an "upper-classman" section! Thanks for your patience;) Rest in peace - Mr. Moore!

Always late, but still sincere! I had two classes with Mr Moore: logic and creative problem solving. Oh!! how I wish my sons could take similar classes today. Nothing like them exists. teaching a bunch of self conscious kids to think, and speak, and to otherwise communicate logically..? wow. Both of the classes and how he taught were of the kind that you don't really realize how good it is until several years later. His name has come up at our dinner table several times, talking to my boys about STUFF. God bless you and your memory, Mr Moore, and THANKS! Betsy H
