Happy New Year to all!

I want to take this time to wish all of my fellow classmates, who are, or have, approached that double nickel birthday, a proseperous and healthy 2011.  Also, I think it is high time for all of us to give a shout out to Tom Bonner, who has done so many things for our class and Niles High School since our graduation.  Tom is one of the most selfless people I know, and deeply cares about all of us.  The Class of '74 is unique thanks to Tom!

Happy New Year!  It is good to hear from Niles friends and classmates.  I will be moving to the area once my youngest daughter graduates this year!  Let's plan some summer fun!!!!  2010 was rough, my father passed away in September of 2010.  The good news is that I took him to the Catholic church a great deal in the summer of '10 and to a U of M game in a wheelchair with my sister and nephew and his fiance 13 days before we lost him.

Hi Kat, Karen et al (who's al?)

I feel like the night watchman, poking around the empty high school web site. Anybody here?

If you like to laugh (and you're not offended by occasional naughty words), I wrote a book you may enjoy. It's available as an e-book, I'll put more info on my page, with a sample.

I'm including my acceptance speech, to the Nobel Committee, for their little Literature prize...

;^)

Hey JL, I am on my way to your site, yes, cobb webbs are hanging here on this sight, you have to remember it is winter in the mid west and all people want to do is hang out inside the house with the windows and doors closed to keep warm!!!!  No coming out to play.  I think that sense of being may hit me next year, today was the coldest most fridgid, darkest, did I say coldest? day that I have felt that kind of sent me inside, I still did my morning 6 a.m. hike with my flash light and fur coat and London Fogs on my feet.  It truely felt like the Blair Witch Project out here, things were cracking and creaking I could sware someone was following me...I might have a bit of cabin fever but I am not sure because well ...there is no one else withing 85  acres of me LOL

See ya soon, Kat

Well Kat, it's just you & me and Frank Sinatra singing "It's a quarter to three..."

I feel like we can talk here at the End of the Universe Bar & Grill. What'll ya have? The bartender says. What can't I have? Kat says.

So where are you, and how do you get London Fogs to stay on your feet? And aren't they kinda cold? And yes, it takes some getting used to, being at a reasonable distance from gobs and mobs of people. Which is what makes it nice here, at NHS. Just us. All the crowds are on Facebook, I guess. Unless people still watch TV? They still got those?

"So give me one more for my baby..."

Yeah, I remember all the good times on the NHS website, the excitement, the thrills, the Tom Grathwohl. Nowadays, even the Sheriff is MIA, and I don't think he's been shot. And that Tom Bonner-- whatever happened to him? Or Wendy Comar? Remember her? Heck, she built this city, like Jefferson Starship!

"...and One For The Road."

February already...where in the heck did January go???  6 Months and Christmas shopping begins again...why is that?!  Don't even want to think about it!!!  Makes my head hurt!

What are your thoughts on as many of us as possible getting together over the summer this year?  Perhaps a day at Tower Hill...beach and barbeque?  Just thinking it would be kind of nice to do something in between the long stretch to the next reunion.  Just a thought...but it doesn't have to be just a thought...we can make something happen!  What say you???

Faith

Whoaaha haa haa hoooooo, listen I learned how to wrangle a horse(12 of them all at once, not comfortable) on the set of Dead Man walking, you guys guys guys, JL I gotcher back, (just had a design breakthrough, kind of like a writers block, un blocked but up for 3 dayz type thing, now I am back) So your right, the first question for Kat is what can't I have because all else is up for grabbs LOL

Reasonable distractions, yes, coming from So Cal and busy fast, many friends, media ect, is a serious culture shock for me, big time, but I am on a mission, still no tv, no need so far,,,got some good company instead...(and I am NOT talking about the voices in my head LOL) cabin fever and all.............UHG

Sheriff, good ta see ya again and thank gosh for Ms. Kitty's idea of getting together this summer?!?where do we start??? Howabout putting the guns down, I am so tired of gunshots out here,,,isn't hunting season over??????

Damn Steve, you could have warned me about the small game hunt thing, now I know why my Davey Crocket hat got shot off my head on my last hike to the cabin!!!  I was wearing bright orange on my body, but I found this cool hat in the garage, , , I think they are just playin with me now, good shots though I must say..

P.S. Didn't deter my walk, I kept going to the cabin, lit a fire and played chess...............

Jim Lanier

Kat, you are too funny!! I'm LOL'ing and rolling!!

But now, to my new official duties. I am shocked, shocked! to find this site is under the minimum cyber fire occupancy limit! I must now fine everyone who isn't here. Please send your funds in unmarked fifties, hundreds and thousands, American dollars only, to my cyberpage.

I hate to do this, you understand, but it's for everyone's cyber fire safety!
