SOUTH BEND - Dwight Eric Moss, 51, of South Bend, born in Niles, Michigan on August 26, 1955, died on July 22, 2007. Dwight was the son of Alonzo Moss and Dessie Lee Cobb. He was preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Moss; a sister, Monie Kay Murphy; and brothers, Larry J. Fox Sr. and Kenny Cobb. Dwight is a veteran of The United States Marine Corps. He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Amber Moss, Janae Moss and Kenya Belcher-Moss, all of South Bend; his granddaughter, Lauren Moss and his grandson, Gavin Stephens, both of South Bend; his mother, Dessie Lee Cobb of Niles; four sisters, Jean (Jimmy) Bradley of South Bend, Ann (George) Fox-Danquah and Augustine (Clayton) Kyles, both of Niles, and Darlene Macon of Fort Worth, TX; a brother, Leroy Cobb Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; and a dear friend, Tonisha Alexander; a favorite niece, Jo Ann Murphy; and favorite sisters, Darlene Macon; a good friend, Cheryl Ashe; and a host of family and friends. Some of the precious things in life for Dwight were his granddaughter, Lauren; his three daughters, Amber, Janae and Kenya; his mother, Dessie; and his beloved Notre Dame football team. Dwight was an avid chess player; he loved to play softball and tennis; and he was a wiz with computers and he loved to read and was always keen for a good debate. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, in Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 601 Ferry Street, Niles. Dwight will be greatly missed.
