We are getting closer to our grand 50th reunion folks!   Here is a recap of details so far:

Golfing:  There are 2 opportunities to show off your golfing skills at Orchard Hills Country Club.  Friday, August 2^nd  with tee times 10:00-10:30.  And Saturday, August 3rd with tee times 10:30-11:00.  The cost is $75.00 per person which includes the golf cart.  If you plan to golf, please click on the Contact Us link on the left navigation bar and RSVP with your name and which day you want to golf.  When you arrive for golf, please tell them you are with the Niles High School Class of 1974!  

50th Reunion t-shirts on sale:  It's a classic folks.  You can purchase your class reunion t-shirt for $26 until June 3rd by signing in and clicking on the Class of '74 reunion t-shirts link on the left navigation bar.  Follow the easy prompts.  Shirts will be available for pick up on Friday at the 'Meet and Greet' at Joey Armadillo's or at the reunion on Saturday night.  (No debit cards please).  

Friday August 2nd: 'Meet and Greet' at Joey Armadillo's begins at 5:30 p.m..  The address is 2732 S. 11th Street, Niles.  The cost is $5.00 per person (cash only please) to cover food.   We will be meeting out on the patio.  Again, be aware of road construction along 11th Street. 

Pickleball: Steve Bender has graciously reserved the new pickleball courts located in Plym Park, 401 Marmont Street in Niles on both Friday, August 2^nd and Saturday, August 3^rd from noon-3 p.m. No need to RSVP- just show up to play.  Paddles and pickleballs will be provided.  Here is a link to the rules:  https://www.pickleheads.com/guides/how-to-play-pickleball. 

High School tour:  There is a tour of the high school scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3^rd.  Just meet up in the main student parking lot east of the school.

Saturday, August 3^rd:  Our 50^th class reunion at the Orchard Hills Country Club with dinner and dancing is finally here.  The dress code is casual!  It will be epic so do not miss it!   Virtual ticket sales are available now.  Just sign in and click on the 50th class reunion virtual ticket sale link on the left navigation bar and follow the prompts.  The cost is $45.00 per person (no debit cards please).  Ticket sales will end July 15, 2024 as the catering bill requires full payment prior to our event.  Don't wait. 

And if you want to know who is coming so far--while you are signed in, click on the Classmate profile link on the left navigation bar.  When the list of classmates opens up, you will find a link at the top of the page called Attending Virtual Tickets for 50th class reunion.  The number at the end of that link shows the number of classmates planning to attend so far.  Just click on that link and the attending classmate names will all appear below.   Let's make this the best attended reunion ever!  

Hotel information:  

1. Inn at Saint Mary’s.  There is a 20-count block of rooms at a rate of $99.00 plus applicable taxes.  You must call them direct at #574-232-4000 and tell them you are with the Niles High Class of 1974 reunion to get this price.  They are located at 53993 State Rd. 933, South Bend, Indiana.  The cutoff date to reserve is July 2, 2024. 
2. Holiday Inn Express.  Prices were reduced by $20 as of 3/4/24:  There is a block of 5 king standard rooms at $135 plus applicable tax, 5 Queen standard rooms at $145 plus taxes and you can request a Queen Suite at $179.00 plus tax.  You must call them direct at #269-684-0300 and tell them you are with the Niles High Class of 1974 to get these rates.  Their address is 1000 Moore Drive, Niles, Michigan.  Cutoff to reserve is July 1, 2024.
3. Hampton Inn.  Standard rates apply here.  Their address is 1446 South 11^th Street, Niles, Michigan.  Phone #269-684-1446.
