The nomination/selection committee shall be a public committee with the exception of two of the alumni who shall remain anonymous. The nomination/selection committee shall be responsible for reviewing, ranking, and selecting individuals from the eligible nominations.

The categories and criteria for nomination to the Niles High School Alumni Hall of Fame were developed as a result of input from the Hall of Fame Committee and researching of more than a dozen schools across the country. The final list of categories and criteria reflects the common characteristics of existing halls of fame and the wishes of the general committee as expressed in preliminary meetings.

The submission of a name for consideration will be made in one of six categories. Nominees in these categories must have demonstrated high levels of achievement, award recognition, and significant contributions in their fields.
