Sue-Sue Baird (Conlyn)

Organizing Committee - Thank you all, it was fantastic.

Wendy - you could have a future in web site design and maintenance - I am sure you have and are still learning a lot doing this one!

Stephani - I am sorry to hear you got sick from your swamp swim. Follow the Dr's orders dear. (I know you will)

I know I didn't talk to everyone that I wanted to... I didn't even realize some people were there until I started combing through the pictures on other peoples profiles...

Steve - great idea to do the sand sculpting... It was a perfect excuse to get to the beach. I think we should do vw's in 2014 too.

The best thing about the weekend for me was how much it felt like HOME.

Sue- Sue, The sand sculpture turned out great because of all the great people that was there! Your team and mine worked hard and also had a good time! And on that note, I challenge you to another contest next reunion!! What do you say?

08/12/09 09:14 PM #3064

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

Well, maybe not ALL of us worked really hard but I had a blast chatting with the really hard workers!
PS- Steve, I still have your thing in my car!!

08/13/09 07:41 AM #3067

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

Easy Vance!
Your flat, puddy thing! No, I'm not using it ... trying to quit!! I will take it to school and you can get it after orientation unless you need it before!

08/13/09 12:25 PM #3068

Dick Crocker

Cheryl, why are you "orientating" your students with Steve's flat, puddy thang?

08/13/09 02:41 PM #3069

Katherine Holloway

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

Well DICK, they're going to be exposed sooner or later so it may as well be in an educational setting, wouldn't you agree?

Big Bummer - but I'm sure he is making music somewhere very cool! From the Washington Post:
Les Paul, 94, a Grammy Award-winning guitar virtuoso and inventor of the solid-body electric guitar who helped bring his instrument to the forefront of jazz and rock-and-roll performance, died today at a hospital in White Plains, N.Y. He had pneumonia.

I just got off the phone with Lynn Bassler. She will be in town for the weekend taking care of her mom and since she has to feed her mom she figured, HEY, WHY NOT TAKE MOM TO A BAR??? Anyway, if anyone is up for it, meet us at the Round Table, out on old US 31 (a little past Durm's pond) on the left Friday nite 6:00-ish!

Finally back to Connecticut after the reunion and a week in TC. Great time!!! Thanks for the snacks on the way north, Brenda, Wendy and Meg, wish I had more vacation time, otherwise, I would have stayed Sunday night! Beautiful spot, Brenda. Wendy, if you're reading this, I'll try to email you my pictures tomorrow. Not too many, but a couple of funny ones.

Great reunion! The organizing committee and the website made it happen!

Suellen... I love your memoir about Philips Road. Maybe you should send it in to a magazine...I'm not kidding! I could compose something about Sassafras, too. The best times were playing Combat with Betsy, Anne, and the Kirwin boys (anyone remember them?) They wouldn't let us girls be soldiers, we had to be nurses! Thank goodness that's changed, huh Cheryl!

Cheryl, just take care of my fat putty thing until I see you ! (use it as much as you like, but don't keep it in the sun to long!!!)

08/14/09 07:24 AM #3075

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

I said FLAT not fat, you dork! Sun screen does wonders!! Right now it is under my car seat, where it shall stay until school starts!

PS - I didn't know that Les Paul invented the multi-track concept, let alone the 8-track. Now THAT was definitely an accomplishment!

Hi all---I just activated the Reunion 35 album (left navigation bar). Click on the link on that page and use password reunion35 to access the album. Pictures that I copied from other shared albums are small---sorry for that...if you have more pictures, email them to me directly (not via a shared album) at wrcomar@earthlink.net. I will make additional albums as I get more pictures. Or you can post them to your own profile and tell us they are there.

Keep on Truckin'

No, you allowed me to borrow it in that condition! I hope that I didn't accidently bend it, but the sand was soft, so probably not!
