Here's the story on Mike Whitehead: Barry Latislaw read that Mike had passed away on our site, He called Mike's mom and she said he was alive (OOPS) So if anyone else is alive and we have you dead, get a hold of us or rest in peace!! ( Or if your dead and we have you alive contact Tom Bonner not me please!)

Steve, that's why I started reading the obits every day, just to make sure that I didn't go before I knew it...

Wendy Rehm (Comar)

I can work miracles---didn't you know? I can bring people back from the dead---just by deleting them from the In Memory page---which I did recently with Mike Whitehead.

OK- I feel really bad if we "dead" someone that isn't so please let me know if we are in error on the In Memory page. I'll fix it immediately.

We're like journalists--we must confirm our facts!!!

If you are trying to email Steve Marshall, I think he had a typo in his email address on his profile as an email I sent bounced back. I think I've fixed it so try your emails again. Wendy

I know what you mean Bill! I Hope I don't wake up some morning and see my picture on the back of a milk carton!!

Jim Lanier

No worries, Steve-- they only put cuties on milk cartons!

If Mike Whitehead is alive...Why ain't he signed up on the site, yet?

Message to Vance: Maybe we could raffle off tours of Washington, DC landmarks, like the FTC Building?

03/18/09 07:39 PM #717

Vance Allen

Now the tour is something I have control over and could make happen, but I doubt it would raise any money. :( Anytime a classmate wants to see DC, just let me know when.....

Linda Behm

Thanks, Vance...wish I knew you were there about 3 years ago...my daughter and I went there for her to do a research project on the Arlington House...was supposed to be on Arlington cemetery but she fell in love with the house.

Linda, if you ever find your way back this direction please let me know. I should be here until the end of 2012, and hopefully then I can escape into retirement.

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

I just finished grading papers and I don't have too much time before lights-out but, as a fundraiser, I would like to offer free tours of Ring Lardner or the high school, including the seedy teachers' lounge and a bonus tutoring session for a re-do on your ACT Exam.

PS. I forgot about the fundraising part... so donations will be expected...I mean accepted!

Susan Botts (Flowers--Class Of '75)

HELLO out there. I have posted class of 75 reunion pictures from 2000 and 2005 on my facebook. Search for Susan-Botts Flowers.

Also, I posted my high school Sr. Pic on my profile if you care to look.

and also, topic of discussion:
How many times did you REALLY party at Durms Pond? And who did you party with?

03/18/09 11:50 PM #722

Vance Allen

Okay, let me start the bidding on Cheryl's Ring Lardner tour...$20.00

03/19/09 12:40 AM #723

Suellen Etzcorn (Foster)

Cheryl can pay me $20.00 for coming out to a Ring Lardner tour! Of course I'm salty! I was from the "other" side of the tracks.

03/19/09 09:54 AM #724

Tom Houseman

I'm with Suellen (This may be a first!) - you couldn't pay me to tour Lancerville. Besides - weren't both Lancerville and Ballard built/designed the same? Ballard has much better views - sitting up on the hill, while Lancerville has airplanes dropping down behind it.

03/19/09 11:07 AM #725

Vance Allen

Okay, then I want a 10 cent tour of Bull-Doggieville! Any Ballard alumni up for the challenge?

The schools may have been designed the same but Lardner was built with much better materials...plus Lardner was right next to the airport because we were transported to school on Learjets, and Ballard had to use those old yellow school buses. Ouch, guess I better be prepared for the come backs...I left the door wide open.

03/19/09 11:50 AM #726

Linda Behm

You have to remember too that Lardner remained as a Junior High while Ballard has slipped down to an elementary school...so you will get a different view of the schools. Did the population shrink that much since we left??

03/19/09 01:28 PM #727

Vance Allen

Very good point, go Linda! :)

03/19/09 04:16 PM #728

Katherine Holloway

WHEW, signing out, you guys exhaust me!

03/19/09 05:46 PM #729

Steve Merica

The population did drop Linda! families started having just two kids instead of four or five, remember the schools were built in the 60's
