Well, it seems that Mrs Lucky sure got around! I wonder if there was more than one...hmmmm.

Cheryl, if she got lucky, I knew nothing about it. My mind wasn't quite thinking in those terms in 3rd grade. Unlike the kids today, we didn't have the internet to rob us of our innocence. We had to rely upon a friend of a friend who knew an older guy who's cousin had ripped the centerfold out of a playboy magazine he found under his dad's bed! Heaven help us if anybody squealed or we got caught!

Yeah Steve, I do remember Kugler's, we used to go there and check out the girls in junior high. I worked there the summer of 74 with Mike & Tom Witkowski. Is it gone now or just named something else?

Doesn't sound like Mrs. Lucky was real lucky and what kind of parent would name their kid 'Mrs. Lucky' anyways?!

Dick, Do you know what ever happened to Bill??

Back to crushes -
2nd - 6th (and always)> Mike Peters (Westside)
7th > Bob Farrell
8th > Conrad Geidke / Jeff Majerek / Dennis Boller
9th - 12th > Brent Baer (and a brief fantasy about his buddy from Brandywine Ron Woods) oh, and Mr Stamp
College - a few frat guys...and back to Brent till we moved up to GR in '79 and then split. That's when I met my husband on a ski trip up north (never realizing we were from the same apt complex). Well that was a trip down memory lane. ; )

Can I just say, I think it is remarkably courageous of Cheryl to come out of the closet about her lesbian-Catholic-nun tendancies, along with the bondage fetish, not to mention that she thinks my wife is hot and she has way more cough syrup than a normal village would need! You go, girl!! Let your freak flags fly!! ;^)
So, in the spirit of disclosure, to give her some company in courage, with all due drama and a drum roll, I will admit to having had a crush on Marti Robinson. This is no reflection on Marti! I'm sure there were lots of other guys who were smitten with her and not all these guys were dweebs like me. She was so vivacious, probably still is.
This got me thinking about feelings vs. thoughts vs. memories, and I'll take up that topic over at my profile.

Sister Sandy was the first nun to let her bangs out in the open. I always thought that all nuns were bald. Then she took time to help me play the baritone uke that I got from Santa in 6th grade, which eventually led to my 12-string acoustic. I loved her black tights and her passion for life. I wanted to be exactly like her... a very cool nun. Then I went to public school (Ballard) remembered that nuns couldn't have boyfriends then kicked Sister Sandy to the curb! Short crush... a crish?
Jim- Don't be nervous! I promise that I will not try to steal your wife! I am just intoxicated by her smile! I LOVE SMILES!

Karen! We had 6 crushes in common! I am about half way done with my list!

ATTENTION PEEPS: I have placed the results from my 8th graders about the current cliques on my profile page. They were so excited to share these with you. Next week we are going to talk about stereotyping! I really wish that I could share our wisdom and tell them that in 35 years, those cliques won't mean squat!!

wow, Cheryl! They have it down pretty well! I am impressed by all of the different groups. Didn't know some of them but now am schooled. Thanks to your students. Keep up the good work!

Wow Cheryl, the cliques!! These kids have a broad prosective on people. I'm impressed.

I think I was somewhere between "Drugie and Wan-a-bee". Never felt good enough...always trying to prove something?? Some of these are kinda scary. We only had to worry about drinking and whatever.....but Goths and Scenes? I know from my Grandboys, things are sure different today. I am truely glad we experienced school life when we did.

Good night Gracey!! (dated myself there, ye?)

Linda;
The Maloney's moved to Evanston in grade school. I saw Bill in 1980, then I heard he moved to Minneapolis in the mid- to late-eighties.
