Suellen Etzcorn (Foster)

I thinks them shoes belongs to Marsha Bonner. I believes I seen her raking her front lawn with them on last week, cause it was real, real windy that day and she didn't wants to fall over...

Jesus! Joseph! Mary! I can't even function today! It definately takes LONGER to shake off a good party when ones 53 vs. 23, or 33, or 43! There isn't enough Excedrin in the world today to take away the ringing in my ears and the pounding in my head! My dad called this morning about 9:00 a.m. and begged me to take him and my dear mother to the Blossomtime Parade because it was such a beautiful sunny day. Did you all hear what I just said? P-A-R-A-D-E!! With drums and trumpets and fire engine blasts and police sirens and screaming kids and stupid clowns! And yes, I took them because about 6 of you told me how lucky I was to still have my parents with me. So, thanks to those of you who said that to me last night, I crawled my ass out of bed, ate 4 aspirin with a cup of butt-strong coffee, brushed my teeth, fluffed Flossy, put on a baseball cap and a big pair of dark sunglasses, picked up the old people and sat at the parade all damn afternoon!

To top my "special" day off... I had to come home from the parade, and get ready to go to the annual Fair Board Appreciation get-together at Lemmon Creek Winery with my husband, AND I was in charge of bringing and setting up the big chocolate fountain. Now... chocolate has a very distinct smell when it's melting, and a smell that one doesn't necessarily want to smell when one is suffering from a class reunion hang-over! I guess the hardest part of the evening tonight was acting like I had an ounce of energy and was enjoying myself, speaking with a voice that didn't sound like a Brillo Pad, and pretending like I was drinking wine when all I was really doing was going to the bathroom and dumping it down the shitter! I'm sure everyone there must have thought I had a bad case of the "green apple dirties" cause I spent a lot of time going back and forth to the bathroom! Man, I hate wasting good wine, but they wouldn't take no for an answer and just kept pouring it!

Now it's after 11:00 p.m., I'm in bed blogging waiting for the sleeping pill to kick in because the ringing in my ears is still much too loud to fall asleep on my own! It's a damn good thing I don't party with you people too often...

Peace!

Well, it looks like the pictures of the "Famous Fish Fry" got about a half dozen more people to commit to the class reunion in August. Mission accomplished!

Oh Suellen, I do feel for you and the trip you had to make to the PARADE. I just laid on my couch watching it then fell asleep. Don't think I enjoy it like I used to when I was younger. But kudos to you for taking your parents and also for putting on a good "showing" at the winery. Rest today, you deserve it!

To all of you who I had the pleasure of seeing on friday night; THANK YOU!!!!!!! It has taken me a whole day of advil, naps and lots of coffee to get the old brain back up and running at as normal of a pace as I get (which those of you who I had the pleasure of talking with know that I am ANYTHING but normal lol), to tell all of you that I am still smiling and thinking how fortunate I am to have the pleasure of talking to and having such a wonderful time with. I was as I'm sure alot of you were nervous as to how we were all going to feel and concerned at how we have changed over the years, from the weight gain, to the grays and wrinkles and total life changes only to have had the MOST uplifting mental evening of my life!!! It seemed as tho we never were the group of teen agers that grouped off and had as discussed earlier the "clicks". We all were just a big group of friends who shared so many smiles and interests of all of our lives and families and we all felt like we were neither in a certain group or click, and no one seemed to care that we all have changed over the years. The only difference that was so obviously there was the way we all cared about each other and did'nt judge or care what each other looked like or what we had or did'nt have at this point in our lives, just honest and real friends who happened to go to the same great high school. To those of you reading this and have been wondering if you really want to come in August, PLEASE PLEASE know that it will be the most uplifting experience you will have for a long time and will not regret it at all. It does'nt matter if you drink or not, fat or skinny, rich or poor just a great group of people who I am honored to know and call my friends!! Our sr. prank is something for all to remember and considered to be a legend, but after friday the real legend is the people who made the Class of 1974 and all that we are. Thank you to all!!

Steph... you are a BEAUTIFUL woman, inside and out! True accomplishments are measured by the number of smiles that one person can give to others in need and in that area, my sister, you are a master!

Very well said ...Steph

To all the brothers and sister's out there that are thinking of coming in August.
