John Edward Knoll, 69, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
John was born on May 17, 1956 in Niles, Michigan to William Gareth Knoll and Betty Jane (Briney) Knoll.
John was preceded in death by his father, William Knoll.
Left to cherish the memory of John is his mother, Betty Jane Knoll; siblings, Gareth (Judy) Knoll and Karen Arnold, and nephews and niece.
John was a compassionate, generous, and intelligent man whose humor and kindness touched everyone who knew him. He had a natural gift for making people laugh and loved telling a good joke, often bringing lightness and joy to family gatherings and everyday moments.
John found peace and creativity in oil painting, gardening, and music. He especially treasured spending time with his family and was always looking out for his grandmother, showing his deep sense of care and responsibility.
In his younger years, John was actively involved in scouting, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and earned the Ad Altare Dei award—accomplishments that reflected his dedication, faith, and strong character. He also served as an altar server at church.
During high school, John participated in sports, earning his Varsity letter in Cross Country and competing on the wrestling team. These experiences helped shape his perseverance and teamwork, qualities he carried throughout his life.
John will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for those around him. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
