Pauline Irvin Kelton, 66 of Niles, Michigan, died October 31, 1992 at her home after a brief illness.

 

Born April 27, 1926, in Milwaukee, she lived in Niles since 1967.

 

She was retired as head librarian at Niles High School.

 

She attended Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, VA. and Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and earned Master’s Degrees in education and library science at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi National Collegiate Sorority.

 

She organized the Four Flags Genealogical Society of Niles.

 

Kelton is survived by two sons, John Kelton of Shelbyville, KY., and Robert Van Kelton of Miami Beach, FL., two grandsons and her mother Byrdena Irvin John of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.
