Lou came to NHS in 1971, just like us. He was laid back for the times. It didn't take long to drop the "Mr. Milley" and go with "Lou". He called everybody "doctor" or "What's up doc?" There were students who tried to take advantage of his easy going style, but he kept them on a short leash.
Sophmore year you took Graphic Arts. Jr. & Sr. year you had a 2 hr. block "Vo Graph". He always encourage the students for next year to take Vo Graph.

If you wanted to learn, he would teach you everything he knew about printing. He never talked about himself, he talked about his students, where they were working, and proud of their success.

I remember at night we would run jobs on the presses and he would buy pizza from Milano's. I don't think they do that today! We did all the printing for the school, hall passes, tickets, etc.

He was not only a teacher, but a true friend.
