
Dennis Stamp, age 46 of Cassopolis, Michigan was killed March 12, 1990 in a single-vehicle traffic accident when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a semi-trailer parked at Per Pak loading dock in Lowe Industrial Park.
Stamp was born Feb. 13, 1944 in Dowagiac and was a lifetime area resident. He and the former Gretchen Wiser were married Dec. 20, 1969 in St. Anne, IL. She survives.
Survivors also include a daughter Heather who lives at home and his mother Frances J. Stamp of Cassopolis.
Stamp was a farmer and the owner of LaGrange Farms. He was a former teacher for 10 years. He was president of Cass County Farm Bureau and a member of Cass County Pork Producers.
A former Cass County Commissioner from 1982 to 1988, Mr. Stamp was chairman in 1983 and 1984.
He was a member of the Dowagiac Elks Lodge 889 and a 1966 graduate of Western Michigan University.

i'm still wondering what happened to Judy Thompson. She and Dennis Stamp were 2 of my favorite teachers in High School. Mr Stamp was a very witty guy and I enjoyed his humor. It was sad to read about him in this newspaper obituary. He shall be missed for as long as I live. GOOD MAN!
