What are your favorite memories of NHS?
I never went to Niles High. I went to Cherry Street Elementary, Central (?) and then East Side Elementary...my family left Niles in 1964! We left in kind of a hurry so I never got to say goodbye to most people. We stayed in touch with some familes so I have been back a number of times in the past 45 years, I also stop in Niles on my way to other places in Michigan, just to look around. I have recently been in touch with Eileen Drolet after not seeing her in all these years. I remember some people -- like Frannie Tucker, who lived near me and Randy Smith, but I have a lot of blanks...I can even look at my grade school pictures and it is hard to remember many people. Oh, Margaret Johnson. I remember her. Probably some others if I squeezed my brain a lot.
