my husband and daughter,met my husband in'87
were married in '88.My daughter lost most of her hearing by the age of two,not enough to qualify for a coclear implant. well that all changed in late '99 early 2000. she had her implant spring2000,after activation,we were waiting for an x-ray,she was swinging her feet, she said mom i hear my feet moving!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that was one of the best days!and there has been many more firsts since then. I'm not as involved at the hearing impaired program as she is a junior now but you would be amazed by the children that are in the program and by those that have graduated from berrien.
