I think at our ages, a few extra pounds just means we are happy! So lets all forget about it, and have a great time, eating, drinking and making merry!!

Okay - do the "teams" have names for the sand sculpting - something like Bairds' Beauties versus Mericas' Miracles' or is it more like Sue Sues' Slugs versus Steves' Snakes?

Maura Laidlaw (Warren)

OK, ....use my motto " If they don't like it don't look!" I earned every single extra pound and wrinkle and I too pulled out my high school jeans and the last time I could fit into a size 5 was many many years ago and believe me none of the "gentlemen" quite look the same either so I guess we don't have to worry we are all in good company and can diplomatically ignore everyones extra lbs.

OKAY OKAY we will cancel the bathing suite part of the reunion and eat, drink and chat instead. Some of the wildr people might even sing so declared by "The Mayor"

Maura Laidlaw (Warren)

If that is the case then maybe I am lucky my hearing is going too!

Are you sure about that alcohol thing? I just checked at the site and it said that alcohol was restricted so does that mean that it is restricted for people that didn't bring their own??? That's what I am thinking!

07/30/09 08:37 PM #2975

Pam Wery (Payne )

The Warren Dunes web site says NO alcohol, may want to re-check that?!?

07/30/09 08:40 PM #2976

Pam Wery (Payne )

Alcohol Restrictions Alcohol is prohibited from March 1 through September 30 in all areas of the park. This rule is strictly enforced
(from the web site)

Susan Botts (Flowers--Class Of '75)

ok - I will shuttle people out of tower hill, you can chug one, and I will take you back, to continue the stack of sand, what does pounding sand mean:)

07/30/09 08:50 PM #2978

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

I am pretty sure that you are right Pam. I remember that some DNR guys have even walked around on the beach and have asked people to open their coolers (personal experience) Good thing that we had a pitcher of Lemonade, so to speak. They didn't ask, so I didn't tell them that we had Everclear mixed in!!

07/30/09 08:52 PM #2979

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

Maybe pounding sand is what you do when you thought that you would be really great in sand sculpting and you discovered the contrary????

07/30/09 09:15 PM #2980

Don Nugent
