Since 1974 I imagine.... so what did you do with Vance, Tom???

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

Vance has not been kidnapped! He will be with us as soon as he gets some computer issues taken care of. How do I know this, you ask? Well, I have been connected with a member of the Polish mafia! At least he told me that when we first started dating 34 years ago. I told him that I had never heard of the Polish mafia. Joe replied, "That's how good we are!" So N-E-wayz, Vance has remained under the Fed's radar and all is well :) He will rejoin us shortly!!

You see how cleverly Big Brother hacked into our forum under the assumed name and spread Disinformation? Vance has been a victim of extraordinary rendition! He's being tortured in Syria! Get away from your computers!! Run!!! TRUST NO ONE! THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!! FREE WILLIE!!!!

For the theater buffs among you (Jim, behave!)...Check out my profile page. I have added a photo of Four Flags Players' rehearsal...I think Tracy Reed and others commented earlier about the Four Flags Players, so ... "This one's for you!"

This is "The Emperor's New Clothes."

For all Ballard Bulldogs: I'm sure all of you remember Charley Shields our favorite english teacher?? Thurs. 3/5/09 my younger brother Steve and I joining him for lunch and a tour of his new home in Culver, Indiana. He moved last year and called Steve the other evening and asked if we would like to join him this week, I am very thrilled and honored that he remembered me and have to admit he was my favorite teacher of all time. I remember our trip to the Art Inst. in Chicago and the fun we all had on the way there and back. I think if I remember correctly that he had a student teacher at the time of the trip Mike Horvath?? Before I go thur. just wondered if anyone has any ? or things they would like me to relay to him??!!

Sue Ratkay (Jacobs)

Being a Ballard Bulldog I definitely remember Mr. Shields! He was quite the teacher and made quite the impression for me. I do remember the student teacher but could not begin to remember his name...I do remember thinking at the time that he was cute for an "old guy"!

I saw earlier in this forum that Kathy K. was looking for John Klosterman. Wished I could help seeing that he lives practically right down the street - or I should say Freeway- from me!

This is a great web site and I'm enjoying reading about everyone - even guys who I'm sure I never got the chance to know in school - but I'm getting to know them now! Really terrific idea!

Stephanie Sirovica (Hessey)

Neil, Hmmmmm why in the world would you wonder about "that" teacher?? Is there a special reason or memory there??? I went to Ballard and went to the high school with the my nose not in the air but close to the side of a can on Busch beer or up in the air wondering where the parties were going to be on weekends!!! Sue: I found one of my old Ballard yearbooks and it was Mike Horvath. I'm glad you said that about him being kind of cute for a old guy, I think I remember thinking the same thing!! That was in between thinking about how Mr.Arnold was the so cute for a old man!! If I remember correctly (and for a old woman remembering correctly is a rare thing) that I used to hide my glasses so no one would call me 4 eyes, and so I could say I could'nt see the board and Mr.Arnold let me sit up front where I could giggle and stare at him!! Cheryl: I wonder how many of your students have done the same thing to you??? I think my youngest son was one of them!!! Just think when we are old (in maybe our late fifties lol) that one of your students will tell you that!!!!

Alright, this is just too much fun! This Klosterman guy is just over in Sherman Oaks right? It is a stones throw from where I live, I think we can find him, give me a little more to go on.
Stephanie would be the last person I know with her nose up in the air... but a beer bottle is like a security blanket for the Irish, right?
Vance wrote me a love note LOL, (just kidding)but he did send me a message just the other day, why can't you guys find him?

Lynn Bassler (Porter)

OMG..I'm gone for a couple of weeks and you guys/gals just blast each other. I sent Bow Wow a note...thought it got posted here, guess it went to her instead...OK I'm learning! I just told her Ms Shirley Frame was out there remembering everything under the sun and I can't remember my own name at the end of the day!
When you find Klosterman tell him I said, Hey! I thought he moved to CA, married "maybe" someone older than he was at the time, and then dropped off the face of the earth? Glad to hear he's still around.
