P.S. Sandy, go for it, the comment I mean. I have pictures of you from the third grade, remember White Street and Sumnerville School? Ask Stephanie, I do. You and your brother, how is Bruce anyway?

Kat- One night or longer!!

Karen McGregor (Bezemek)

Actually Kathy - its Tracy but Tracy Bishop you're perched on. We had such great form in those days - bet we could still do some cheers...in between karaoke -- how 'bout it! : )

Sue, you were, you are and will always be beautiful - from any angle. I'm remembering times sitting on your front porch talking about...who knows, had to be important I'm sure.

I do recall a sleepover at Judy Struve's where a bunch of guys (boys) showed up and we walked all around the neighborhood til someone called the cops who then ran us down. Dennis Connors, Ed Hartman are who I recall most. Dennis protected me (in the ditch) and Eddie ran like hell and jumped a fence to freedom.

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

I thought that I was in the ditch with Dennis! Then who the heck was I in the ditch with....Merriweather?
Bill - Why do you frequent womens' restrooms so much...just curious!

I remember the ditch! Oh Preciouse Judy Struve whom couldn't live without those plaid clothes! Ugh, very preppy and yummy at the same time, I know that ditch, we who hung out with her know that ditch well!LOL
Yes, Tracey Bishop, why did I say Reed? who is that???
We all seem to have this memory thing, remember the floride scare? Could it be we are all affected by the water in NIles??

They seem to have the clean places to use...and they do say/write the nicest things...about us guys...heh heh heh...besides that, us Submarines sailors have no scruples, or so I'm told...hey if you don't believe me just ask my wife, she'll be glad to squeal on me, about anything...

03/12/09 06:39 PM #489

Bill Lary

Kathy we had no water problems out by the lake...we had all the water we needed, ours just had duck and fish poop in it...alot ... yuk!!!!

Remember Bill, It's Men and WO-men, don't go in the last, unless your in drag!!

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

Bill, I just think that is fine and dandy b/c I always use the mens' restrooms at athletic events and concerts b/c they have the shortest lines. Guys don't stand primping in front of the mirrors. I personally feel that brushes are so over-rated! Tooth brushes are a must but not the hairbrush! I just wondered what your excuse was! ;)

Bill Lary

Good advice Steve, will remember that...although it was pretty interesting while in there...besides right now it's part of my job at the Coast Guard Academy

Bill Lary

Cheryl, I just tell the women that a fan is stuck or a toilet is overflowing and I'm part of maintenance going in to fix it...works every time...lol

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

Don't they wonder why you don't have any tools with you?

03/12/09 06:56 PM #495

Steve Merica

Wow I should have thought of that!! Thanks Bill, ( my dress was getting a little tight anyway!)

03/12/09 07:04 PM #496

Bill Lary

I have a little tool pouch on my hip, as part of my job at the Academy, I wear it all the time, except when I take the little woman out for dinner or church...

03/12/09 07:07 PM #497

Bill Lary

Hey Steve, you could have followed the ads presented by Marie O., she's our age and since the two of you may have the same taste in clothes, why not seek her advice?

03/12/09 07:13 PM #498

Steve Merica

I'm still laughing about your little pouch!!

03/12/09 07:17 PM #499

Bill Lary

It's better to wear it on the side than in the front, this eliminates all questions from the Officers and my bosses...since it's rigid and flexible at the same time...

03/12/09 07:23 PM #500

Steve Merica

Good man Bill! keep it ready at all times!!

03/12/09 08:43 PM #501

Cheryl Frame (Malinowski)

R-U serious about that pouch? I don't think it belongs in church...at least you're considerate enough to remove it!!

Susan Botts (Flowers--Class Of '75)

I keep telling myself, stay off the Forum, so please excuse my indulgence, I have to comment again. It seems MANY of the class of 74 has maintained very very long marriages. WHen they say 50% dont make it, I think the class of 74 has broken that record. It is impressive of the committment your class has made and kept to their spouses. (to those divorced, I am not talking negative) as you are the other % and thank goodness for me, I married a divorced man (I am still on my first marriage, he is on his 2nd lol) and our marriage is going strong for 26 years.

I will work this weekend on emailing wendy the picture and story about the bug in the court yard. I know I have to earn my keep on being granted guess priviledges.

Sorry I'm missing out on all of this fun!

Kathy - oh I remember all of those years freezing my ass off at the bus stop like it was yesterday. Good thing I'm not famous - you could use those elementary school pics as blackmail to be sure.

Bill- that "little pouch on your hip"....you know they do wonders with resonstructive surgery these days! ;)

Oh and here's a "biker" saying to add to Bill's - "If it has boobs or a kickstand I want to ride it".........

God Kathy I remember my Aunt's house that we rented from her. It was our big leap at independence! What I mostly remember was freezing our butts off because we could barely afford the oil for the furnace!! That was during the "gas wars" when prices went up to .75 cent a gallon! It use to make me crazy because you would always drive so slow to save gas!!

You went to Sumnerville school?? God I never knew that. I went to Sumnerville too...I think it was third grade or something like that! I think that means we have known each other even longer!

Sue Ratkay (Jacobs)

That's right Karen that was Tracy Bishop!

OK a little Green and White fight fight mixed in with the Supremes?? I'm game!

Thanks Karen you're pretty darn good look'in yourself if I may say so!!

Sitting on the front porch talking...had to be something silly like talking about boys... It wasn't solving the mysteries of the universe...of course I'm sure we were up to it. : )

Howdy all! Wendy asked if I still had the photo I shot of the VW in the courtyard, which sadly, I do not. However, I did manage to make a fairly decent copy of the photo as it appeared in the '75 Tattler. It's on my page of this website if you can copy from there, or I can send the file to whomever wants it. Bruce

Susan that is Crazy! I was at Sumnerville in third grade, how could we have missed knowing we were there together, there must have been all of 10 of us.
Karen, I have never done Kareoke, but I have done the Supremes and the cast of Cat's, I will post those photo's too. They are funny. Did you see that photo of you at Susan's wedding! LOL, look at those shoes! Fashion is soooooooo much fun.
