Awesome songs you guys have sent in, I love them all
So much music defined my life at that time and I guess still does
For rock: Jim Morrison and the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Chicago, Grand Funk Railroad, J. Geils, Three Dog Night, Moody Blues, Steely Dan, CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival) Eric Clapton and Cream, Three Dog Night, Rare Earth, Elton John...
I remember The Joker by Steve Miller Band was a big one back then.
For R&B: Temptations, Four Tops, Sly and the Family Stone, Stylistics, Ohio Players, O'Jays, Spinners, War, Rufus, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Isley Brothers I wish I had kept all my albums. Had a $300 phone bill in college and ended up selling a lot of them to a guy whose dorm room was next to mine (coed dorm). Then I had another phone bill that was sky high and ended up cleaning toilets in South Quad dorm at Michigan as a scab when unionized workers went on strike. So I crossed the picket line to pay my phoen bill because my parents wouldn't. Ifeel sort of bad about that now looking back.
