Wow.. You all sure do know how to clean out the cobwebs. I remember Terry too... He was our Conrad Birdie. I think someone should invite Terry to submit a profile so we can see what he is doing know. Oh come on ,you know we all want to know what he looks like now.. I agree Sue Sue. The Shepardson's did put out some good looking kids. I always had a crush on her older brother..Wasn't it at your house that we had the "sceances"? That was so funny...

I remember the OUIJA board, and we would wait awhile and then make that little glass piece move around to the letters WE wanted it to touch, so we could get the "RIGHT" answers...

I'd totally forgotten about that!

I guess I only had eyes for Bill! I have been racking my brain about some of the kids from Eastside. I remember playing between the houses on the east side of the building, we played ball there. In Kindergarten, Miss Funk had a little house in the back of her room and Dan Tinkey and I used to play in that.

Don't forget about the "8" ball. You would ask it a question and it would come up with some random answer.

Yes...and the milk machine (chocolate only, please!) was just outside the door of our kindergarten classroom with Miss Funk... I can remember lining up in the hallway, with our nickels...and the happy "plop" of the milk landing in the receptacle, where you'd open it up and take it out... And, those lovely PAPER straws...didn't last too long, did they?

I remember the candy store across the street from Eastside, too. They did a great business! ha. Twisted licorice and long/string licorice, and pretty much anything else that was on the market.

Oh--now I remember--Terry K used to work for Prince's Meat Market. Whew. I can sleep tonight. I can remember going in there with my dad on Saturdays, and would be THRILLED if Terry were working.

Heavens, he had us all in a swivet, eh??!

The little store across from Eastside really did a lot of business. I think I spent my allowance there or at the one on the corner of Ferry and 12th. Always rode my bike there.

Craig--I think that WAS the name...Ferry St Grocery store...

Interesting how in such a small town we had quite a number of little neighborhood stores...at least on the East side.

What about you folks on the West side of town? did you have little neighborhood stores, too? I can't recall any, right off...

From a friend who knows I've been on these pages....

A fellow went to a 50-year Class Reunion, wondering if he
would even recognize anybody after such a long time.

He saw a lady across the that he thought looked familiar,
but really wasn't certain. Gaining courage, he walked over
and said, "You look like Helen Brown."

She snapped at him, saying, "Well, you don't look so hot in blue!"

Krajci's...drug store?

I was thinking the rather esoteric places...family-run...small, "hole-in-the-wall" businesses...

Do you remember YUMMY hamburger stand? It was Niles' version of McDonald's until McD's finally landed there in 19__??

Is Portofino's still there? Margaret Johnson's mother was a bartender, and she made me my first legal drink.

Don--

I can still pretty much figure out who everyone is...

I have names on the back of most of the class photos, so I could verify a number of folks, if you have a question.

But, yep--you cutie! you CAN tell it's you

Yummy's, we called it. I still remember riding with my brother when he got busted there one night. He was in the "gearhead" clique, I didn't see that in Cheryl's class' list. And I saw my first live fist fight there, although one guy wasn't fighting, he was being the punching bag...

Jim, take from a horse owner, u really don't wanna eat that stuff. I know they are god awful dumb animals and will pretty much eat anything in their path. Kinda like goats.
Tom, were u serious about the fish shortage..?? I guess that I'll just have to drink instead
