Yeah, I'd have to agree that Franklin was pretty cool. Keep in mind, I don't even know what's cool. What a world that must've been, where people (okay, mostly men) could excel in philosophy, science and politics and dream up the USPS. Of course, he was an old lech by the end, but is that so bad?!?!? Women threw themselves at him! 'Scuze me while I get early to bed...
Haven't said "hi" in awhile, so "hi"! It's about all I can do these days to keep up with my work at home, my work at work, my facebook and my face (last one's the hardest!). Hope you all are doing fine! I really do need to update my pictures so you-all have something different to look at other than 'Iraq'.

Ditto Suellen! I definitely could use more time especially on the face part!!!
Thanks everyone for the Birthday Wishes!!! I get to spend a large portion of the day at the Dept of Motor Vehicles getting my license renewed - and in LA I mean the major part of the day!!
Just want to give a big shout out to all of the classmates who have served our country and/or have children that are in the service. THANK YOU for all of your hard work and dedication to our country! We appreciate everything that you have done/are doing to keep our country the best in the world!
Happy Veteran's Day to all who serve and protect the US of A. We pray for your safety.
Sadly, we lost another teacher this week. Willis Dunham, our Industrial Arts teacher has passed away. His daughter Marcie Dunham was our classmate. His obituary is posted on our In Memory page. I'll try and track down an address for Marcie in Albuquerque, N.M. to see if we can get her to join us here-- when she is able.
OK folks---did you notice the radio player on the home page now? If you turn up your speakers it should start playing tunes from 1974 but it is radio so expect some commercials. Let me know if this is really annoying and you want me to take it back off (or turn your speakers down).....just experimenting here... Wendy
You know, guys, Wendy might get the impression everybody abandoned ship! Personally, I can't listen to the radio thingy, because radio hasn't been invented here in the 19th century California motherlode region, we're too busy plundering the countryside for gold, gold!! Some of you pirates may have radio (Pirate Radio, current movie release starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman, topical humor, gnuck, gnuck), and you should give Wendy some feedback (you do this by placing the microphone in front of the speaker). Or maybe it's just down to you & me, Wendy?? Whatever happened to the Sheriff? Where's Tom Bonner?? In the words of Pink Floyd, "Is there anybody OUT THERE?!?!?!"
We're getting some snowfall right now...the first of the season. We were expecting rain, but at this time of year, nothing is guaranteed (except a bit of turkey).
I removed the radio from the home page---I think I need to do some more work there....but replaced it with a thanksgiving message.....happy turkey day everyone.
It's wonderful to see the continued conversations! Thank you Wendy for the added attractions too. Very fun. It's amazing to think that it is already nearly four whole months since we celebrated our 35th. Soon it will be the new year so it will only be four years until our next BIG EVENT. I know Mayor Tom and Deputy Mike will be letting us know when we can look forward to another fish fry next Spring-Summer -- YES! we don't have to wait too long to get together. Here's hoping that many more who are in the Niles area will venture out too. Oh, I'll be putting up a couple of pics from a recent committee dinner - Mexican style. Good fun - a bunch of Niles kids (now slightly aged) being Niles kids. : ) HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!
Hell, Pam, I'm a parrot head from way back! As I was hitchin' across to Californy, every vehicle that threw open its door to me had "Wastin' Away in Magureritaville" blarin' away on tinny speakers. Except some pickups, with country music. One fella told me, "There's only two kindsa music: Country, and Western!"
